Atka gripped the mane on the tawny beast she sat proudly upon as they journey through the rugged, wild, terrain. Winter was approaching their village and it was approaching fast. Yet, with a lack of supplies, it was up to the two of them to journey to a neighboring tribe and bring home food, furs, and spices.  Though, their trip soon came to a halt as the tundra Tokota soon slow to a halt at the edge of the frozen lakeside. Atka's cyan gazed out at the scene before them: cracked paths of ice over the frigid waters. Certainly, this could cause a problem. One wrong move and she and her partner would slip into the arctic water. Yet, if they didn't risk it now the village would be in gave danger. There was a moment she would think it over, however, she took a deep breath and pat the beast on the head before tangling her fingers within his fur. "The village is relying on us now and we can't stop here." She muttered, determination soon welling deep within her core. "We need to cross this lake one way or another and I know you can do it."  A small kick to Littlebear's sides and he started to back up some, his head gazing out to the floating ice. A grin started to well upon Atka's face, "Let's do this, Grizz!" Without a moment more of hesitation, large paws started to trample across the snow coated ground and it wasn't long before he made his first leap. His claws digging into the ice and using it for traction the best he could,frigid waters sloshing beneath them. "Keep moving!" She called coaxing him on....and so he did. One jump, two jumps, straight across the floating icebergs: their bridge across the lake.
Certainly, they were going to have a story to tell when they were back with the tribe.
